Riogordo

Riogordo is an spanish village in the Province of Málaga (Andalucía), it belongs to the Axarquia's area. It is 40 km from Málaga and 30 from Vélez Málaga (Axarquia's capital). It has a media temperature of 16º C.

Gastronomically, one of the best Riogordo's dishes is spicy snails, specially promotioned every last May's sunday, this feast has been declared as "an special singular interest in the Province of Málaga". Also traditional from this Village are the "Migas", the green beans gazpacho or the farmer's porra (due the high quality of the vegetables in the area), an special mention for the very high quality olive oil, made by it owns factories, as well as the homemade sausages and its cakes.

Hand crafts has another special place in this village, saddlery works, esparto, forge and wicker, farm implements and leather boots.
